Fraud Management Systems
No threat to today’s telecom network operator is more dangerous or insidious than fraud. The perpetrators of fraud are clever, mobile, and invisible. Each year, they cost operators billions of dollars in lost income—as much as four to six percent of revenues are lost on average. But the actual cost goes far, far beyond that. Nexicon's fraud solution objectives are to:

Fraud Engine Modules
Nexicon’s Fraud Engine consists of several ready-to-use modules. All of the modules are customizable and can be tailored to suit your needs. Our Fraud Engine is based on years of knowledge and experience gained by several of the world’s largest suppliers.

In our opinion, the switching equipment provided by different equipment vendors suffers from a variety of flaws and setbacks. We have specialized in dealing with these issues in our Fraud Engine module.

As an operator, you receive numerous files countless times every day. We consistently check the syntax of these files in order to ensure they have been created according to the agreed standard. This is important as we provide fully automated tasks. We believe that by being rigid on behalf of our clients we can achieve a better quality and thereby improved results for all automated tasks.

By calculating the given cost as well as full cost, we are able to provide a duplicate invoice identical to the one issued by network operators. This enables clients to perform an extensive crosscheck of their bills.

All our fraud modules can be used separately but may also be combined to achieve improved quality. CHURN AND CUSTOMER RETENTION

With the high cost of customer acquisition, customer retention is critical. Charon is designed to assist in this process on several levels that can either be integrated against each other or used as standalone weapons to promote retention. It is important to bear in mind that churn can arise for many reasons, and it therefore has to be combated using various processes in different segments. Below are some of the segments which we believe represent key elements:

Charon offers several modules that are capable of assisting in the process of subscriber retention. In our experience, a combination of all these modules constitutes the best retention program on the market. These modules are currently in use by our clients, and by reviewing our clients’ churn rate and subscriber acquisition figures, it appears that they work well.

Using a report engine that can mine data from all layers of the billing process, we can create reports that can be used each week to help foster subscriber retention. This is also an important tool when producing campaigns and subscriber loyalty programs.

Bad Invoicing
Bad invoices have always had a negative effect on customer retention. This is also the most complex area to combat due to the huge processes involved. Our Churn Management modules aid this process, since we have the experience of high-load invoicing and real-time rating. We believe that this is vital to your subscriber loyalty program.

Online Services
The Internet provides an effective vehicle with which to deliver more personalized service and new forms of customer interaction – Telco’s website is a vital weapon in its armory. It can be used to encourage self-service (thereby driving down costs while improving accessibility), to promote the Telco brand and to gain valuable customer information. However, too many websites fail to provide the customer service they promise.

CRM
Our CRM interface can be used by telecom marketing systems to "reactivate" or deal with retention in an active way - allowing a call center to call subscribers and manage their account. This is used by many of the operators today as one of the most efficient ways of fight retention.

Rating Systems
Our CDR engine aids the retention process by invoking processes during rating for subscribers with a large change in their calling pattern. There are also several other signs that can be detected during rating, by having the rating system compare historical data with fresh ratings. This usually invokes reporting systems that can focus on the different parameters for churn reasons.

POS and Sales Management
Sales personnel and sales systems have to be equipped with the latest systems for gaining the “right” type of subscribers. This is also consistent with fraud, and therefore we have embedded the sales modules with real-time credit check systems, and several other databases, giving all new subscribers scores.
